MEDICAL

Braster

In-home Breast Examination Device

Braster is a medical company looking ahead of the industry by giving women an upper hand in winning with breast cancer. Polidea’s team of designers and developers delivered Braster iOS and Android apps helping women in self-examination. As for the Internet of Things project, the challenge lied in combining the physical device with mobile app, providing smooth experience and a clear guideline for the users.

The team was collaborative, skilled and responsive. They produced high-quality designs.

ENTERTAINMENT

Papereed

Accessible iOS Mobile Application for Streaming Audio Articles

Founded in 2015, Papereed is a Swedish-based startup offering a range of audio services. Polidea’s team delivered an accessible iOS app—attractive, intuitive and easy to use for all the users; those suffering from vision impairment, those who are blind and those fully sighted. Great focus on accessibility resulted in the user research followed by the preparation of a comprehensive report on accessibility features and recommendations for further development.

With no prior experience in designing fully accessible software it was of great help to be able to work with Polidea. They quickly understood the core concept of our ideas and could turn them into tangible designs, and, later on, code.

E-COMMERCE

Showroom

E-commerce App to Highlight Creativity

SHOWROOM is a pioneering e-commerce platform that brings together high-end fashion designers and fashion savvy customers to the same place. Polidea’s team delivered iOS app, transferring the look and feel of Showroom’s website onto mobile screen. The fashion app looks beautiful and feels intuitive thanks to a clear information architecture and a number of animations enriching the user’s journey.

SOCIAL

Best Buddies

Social App for an Inspiring Organization

We have delivered iOS and Android apps for Best Buddies, a non-profit organisation, founded in 1989 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver to end the isolation of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The app is intended for members of Best Buddies' programmes, who build one-to-one friendships and social groups across all of the US and the entire world.

They really merged the design and engineering aspect together. They made real recommendations in terms of the UX that benefitted the project and were necessary, given our lack of expertise as a client.
