6 Best Tech Events Yet to Come in 2020
The world of conferences, expos, and meetups has been put to the test. The pandemic was a game-changer, not a deal-breaker. Events moved from the physical space into a virtual one. We will miss the face-to-face discussions and walking through exhibition halls. The other side of the coin is that everyone worldwide can access the knowledge shared from Warsaw, through New Delhi, to New York City. Today, let’s take a look at 6 best tech events yet to come in 2020!
Google Cloud Next ’20: OnAir starts today! Every Tuesday for the next nine weeks will be filled with cloud computing talks, demos, and a chance to have a 1:1 chat with a Google expert. Each week has a different theme, from industry insights, security, data analysis and management, and Cloud AI. There will be something for everyone, and the list of featured and break-out speakers is impressive!
The Keep Cloud Native Connected event that combines the KubeCon and CloudNativeCon is going virtual as well. The event takes place from August 17th to 20th in Europe and three months later in North America. It’s a must e-attend conference for all interested in open source and cloud-native solutions like Kubernetes. Speakers from industry giants like Tesla, IBM, and Microsoft will take the virtual stage, with over 20 tracks to choose from!
ODSC Europe will take place from September 17th to 19th and feature not only talks but also workshops and training. It’s one of the most prominent data science conferences, presenting the latest trends in machine learning, data visualization, autonomous machines, and much more. Beyond that, there is an emphasis on tools, such as Apache Spark—a cluster-computing framework, and machine learning tools from Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. ODSC will also include a mini boot-camp with a hackathon and lots of training that can be the starting point for your career!
Europe’s number one Industrial IoT conference is coming to your screen, beginning on September 21st and ending on the 23rd. During the Industry of Things World, speakers from Amazon Web Services, Bosch, and IBM will be discussing the importance of digitization and innovation, digital governance, 5G and AI, and more. There will also be networking opportunities and discussion panels!
Apache Software Foundation organizes the ApacheCon @Home from September 29th to October 1st. **The call for presentations ended yesterday. (If you’re interested, there are always more Apache conferences coming). The topics discussed are the ASF Community, IoT, and several projects, such as CloudStack or Ignite. The event will take place on the hopin platform, and the admission is free!
At the same time, as ApacheCon @Home, the VM World will be taking place. This event will feature exciting tracks. App modernization will focus on Kubernetes and other cloud-native solutions for more secure applications. In a multi-cloud track, you can learn about the hybrid cloud solutions, taking advantage of one provider, like AWS or Azure, but many at the same time. Digital workspace will tackle the issue of every current topic of modern management and app development.
We hope that we e-meet at one of those upcoming tech events. You can reach us directly, and we will make sure to have a chat about your product or solution ideas!
